Older Toddlers (Twos) (24-36 Months):

Our older toddler program provides an environment that meets the developmental needs of your child during their crucial and formative toddler years. Using High Scope, a nationally recognized early education program, as our base, our lead teachers work to construct an educational learning environment for your child.

Many parents believe that school readiness means learning your ABC’s, counting, and understanding colors and writing. What future teachers want to see is your child’s ability to focus, learn and socialize with other children. Language and social interaction skills begin very young. Our two’s program is designed to give your child the early learning and social experiences they will need for future success. Our teachers focus learning activities on self-help skills, learning to play independently and with others, and helping twos to communicate more effectively with adults and other children.

Providing an environment rich with language and literacy is integral to your child’s early learning experience. Reading aloud is a daily experience that opens children’s interests to new worlds. Songs and "fingerplays" continue to reinforce language skills as well as build brain development. Our two’s program offers age-related appropriate activities and the opportunity to explore the world around with the love and guidance of a quality teaching staff.

Each week, lead teachers send home a weekly newsletter outlining theme-related topics, learning concepts, and special activities. A Daily Information Sheet is completed each day which fills parents in on meals, diapering/potty training, naps and activities.
